Crime and safety advice at St Peters Catholic School

Good Afternoon!

Officers today attended St Peter's Catholic School to deliver crime and safety advice to Year 5 & 6 students. 

PC Lauren LAND 4181EA, the dedicated ward officer of Marshalls & Rise Park SNT who is also a Safer Schools officer alongside A/PS Colin SEARLE 4782EA, delivered talks to students. 

The topics delivered were on the Malicious Communications Act and how harmful messages on social media can impact everyone & the laws around E-Scooters and E-Bikes. For the Year 6 classes, additional input around knife crime and the dangers around sending indecent images was discussed as well as they soon head to Secondary School.

There was a lot of positive engagement from the students who asked lots of questions around these topics, showing that they already had a god understanding around online safety.
